NASHVILLE - The (-/RV) Tulane Women's Basketball Team (5-2) will have the chance to quickly bounce back from Saturday's loss at Middle Tennessee when they take on SEC foe Vanderbilt (7-1) on Monday, Dec. 5, inside Memorial Gym. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. CT and will stream live on SEC Network+. Vanderbilt marks the middle game of Tulane's current three-game road swing, as the Green Wave will head to Baton Rouge on Dec. 11 to square off against LSU. SCOUTING THE COMMODORES
• Vanderbilt is off to a hot 7-1 start to the season, with their lone loss coming at the hands of Indiana, 94-61. Vandy's most notable win was a 77-73 victory over Duke.Â
• Rebekah Dahlman paces Vandy at 14.5 ppg, connecting on 52.4 percent of her shots, including 60.9 percent from three-point range.Â
• Rachel Bell (12.1 ppg) and Christa Reed (10.3) also average double-digit points for Vanderbilt. Â
• Cierra Walker led Vandy to its 73-63 win over SIUE on Saturday, scoring 21 points behind five made three-pointers. Â
WHO'S HOT
Sophomore Meredith Schulte has reached double-digit points in three straight games, averaging 12.0 ppg in that span. In fact, Schulte recorded her first career double-double at UTSA on Nov. 27, collecting 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Overall, Schulte has started the season shooting a hot 50.0 percent from the field (24-of-48), including a 36.8 percent mark from three-point range.
FINISHING STRONG
Tulane has outscored its opponents in the fourth quarter in all but one of its games this season, with Mississippi State being the lone exception  (19-17). The Wave are averaging 21.3 points in the final quarter compared to their opponents' 15.4 points, good for a +5.9 scoring margin.Â
VS THE SEC
The Olive and Blue went 3-0 against SEC competition last season, defeating LSU, Ole Miss and Alabama, with the latter occurring in the first round of the WNIT. The Wave have already faced a SEC opponent this season in then ranked No. 10/9 Mississippi State, falling 66-49 to the Bulldogs in Biloxi.
