NEW ORLEANS – After competing at the ITA Southern Regional two weekends prior, the Tulane women's tennis team will head back on the road for the first of three-straight weekends of fall tournament play with a trip to Tuscaloosa, Ala., for the Roberta Allison Classic, which will be held Oct. 26-27 at the University of Alabama.

Competition begins with the first round of doubles matches on Friday at 9 a.m., followed by two rounds of singles. Saturday will start with the final two rounds of doubles and the final round of singles. In the event of inclement weather, matches will be scheduled for Sunday morning.
The event will feature eight singles and doubles draws, respectively, with student-athletes representing 21 schools, including Alabama, Indiana, Lewis University, Western Michigan, UT Martin, South Alabama, Troy, Samford, DePaul, Ole Miss, UAB, Mississippi State, Tulane, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Clemson, Kennesaw State, South Florida, Air Force, East Carolina and Memphis.
The Green Wave last competed Oct. 12-14 at the ITA Southern Regional in Oxford, Miss., where Ivone Alvaro won five consecutive matches to win the consolation singles draw. Alex Alegre and Adelaide Lavery reached the quarterfinals of the single 'B' draw, as Alegre knocked off the top seed in the second round. In doubles, Alvaro and Elena Muller notched a pair of wins in the first two rounds of the main draw, before falling to the tournament's top seed in the quarterfinals.
