Selfors, Fatland Win Events in Track & Field's Final Regular Season Meet

BATON ROUGE, La. - Freshman Bridgid Selfors won the 3000m while sophomore Paige Fatland won the 800m to close out Tulane track and field's indoor regular season at the LSU Twilight Invitational Friday afternoon inside the Carl Maddox Field House.
Competing on a flat track, Selfors earned a first-place finish in the 3000m run with a time of 10:15.97, recording her second top finish of the season. Earlier this season at LSU's Bayou Bengal, Selfors finished first in the 3000m with a time of 10:10.06.
Fatland earned a first-place finish in the 800m run, posting a time of 2:21.27. Like Selfors, the first-place finish is Fatland's second of the year, as she came in first in the 800m (2:22.15) at LSU's Bayou Bengal earlier this season.
Freshman Reid Belanger notched a new personal record in the 800m, recording a finish of 2:30.77. The time bests her previous top mark of 2:31.41, which she set at LSU's Bayou Bengal earlier this season.
Junior Rebekah Markel earned a third-place finish (3.89m) in the pole vault while junior Rose Brutkiewicz set a new personal record with a jump of 3.59m. Brutkiewicz finished in fourth place.
