Tulane Women’s Golf Concludes Play at Clemson Invitational

SUNSET, S.C. – The Tulane University women's golf team wrapped up play Sunday afternoon at the Clemson Invitational with a final round score of 300 to finish the three-day event with a total score of 898 to place 14th.

Tulane's three-round score of 898 was its lowest total score of the spring season. As a team, the Green Wave finished the tournament with 28 birdies, 168 pars and was one of just four teams in the field to record an eagle.

Ten of Tulane's 28 birdies during the tournament came from junior Laura Munoz, who posted four birdies during the final round. Munoz carded a final round 75 to finish the tournament with a season best three-round total of 219 to finish the event tied for 32nd.

Teammate Jennifer Rosenberg also tied for 32nd thanks to a final round score of one-under-par, 71. Rosenberg's final round 71 tied her lowest round this spring, while her tournament total of 219 was her lowest 54-hole score this spring.

In addition, Rosenberg's day three score was good enough to move her up the leaderboard 17 spots.

Rosenberg showed incredible consistency throughout the tournament, as she totaled 42 pars, which tied for second among all individuals in the tournament field.

Rounding out Tulane's lineup was sophomore Haydyn Gibson (232), junior Sofia Goicoechea (233) and sophomore Gabrielle Correia (235), as they tied for 69th, 72nd and 76th, respectively.

Furman captured the team title with a tournament score of 834. Clemson's Alice Hewson claimed medalist honors with a three-round total of 206.

The Green Wave returns to action on April 8, as they head to the Silverado Showdown in Napa, Calif. The event will serve as Tulane's final tune-up before the American Athletic Conference Championship.
