NEW ORLEANS – Tulane bowling head coach Hayley Veitch announced the addition of Veronica Petrinec to the Green Wave's 2018 signing class.
Petrinec, a native of Titusville, Fla., was the Florida State High School Athletics Association state runner-up in 2017, where she competed against fellow Tulane 2018 signee Crystal Singh. A two-year captain at Titusville High School, she led the Terriers to the FHSAA Florida High School Bowling Championships three times, including a state title in 2014 and semifinal finishes in 2015 and 2016.
In addition to her runner-up finish in 2017, Petrinec earned a spot in the FHSAA Florida High School Bowling Championships Girls Individual Bracket in 2014 and 2016. She recently became the first ever bowler at Titusville High School to earn the Dan Diesel Terrier Sportsmanship Award.
Overall, Petrinec has posted a career-high game of 299, a three-game series 731 score and a six-game series 1,290 score. She also competed at the United State Bowling Congress Junior Gold Championships each of the last three years.
Petrinec joins Singh (Coral Springs, Fla.) as part of Tulane's signing class, which will join the Green Wave for the fall of 2018.
