Men’s Tennis Travels to Auburn for ITA Southern Regional

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane men's tennis team continues its fall campaign on a trip to Auburn, Alabama for the 2019 ITA Southern Regional.
Play begins Thursday, October 17 at the Yarbrough Tennis Center with the first rounds of singles and doubles qualifying. The doubles main draw opens on Friday, while singles main draw gets underway Saturday.
In addition to the Green Wave, participating schools include host Auburn, Alabama, Alabama State, Jacksonville State, Louisiana-Lafayette, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, New Orleans, Samford, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Troy, and UAB.
Senior Tim Ruetzel takes the court first in qualifying singles with a matchup against Jacksonville State's Sergio Lizarraga on Thursday at 9 a.m., and a second round match slated for 1 p.m., if he advances.
The singles finalists and doubles champions advance to the Oracle/ITA National Fall Championships in Newport Beach, Calif., in November.
