NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University swimming and diving team returns to action on Thursday, as it visits American Athletic Conference foe Houston. The event is set to begin at 10 a.m. inside Houston's Campus Recreation and Wellness Center.
Â
The Green Wave returns to action just five days after they opened their 2019-20 season this past Saturday at LSU. In its season opener against the Tigers, Tulane finished with four individual victories and one relay win.
Junior Kate McDonald led the way for the Green Wave, as she won a pair of races, claiming the 100 and 200 breaststroke events, posting times of 1:03.39 and 2:16.93, respectively.d
Â
Tulane will look to rebound from last year's meeting, as Houston edged the Green Wave by a 151.5-148.5 count in New Orleans. The Green Wave captured six of the first seven events, but the Cougars fought back to win six of the final nine events to claim the meet.
Â
The Cougars enter the meet following a pair of road wins in San Antonio after knocking off Incarnate Word and UT-Permian Basin in their season opener.Â
Â
Houston enters the year in search of its third straight AAC Championships title.
