Nov 21, 2019 | Women's Beach Volleyball
NEW ORLEANS – Tulane beach volleyball head coach Eyal Zimet announced on Thursday the final addition to the team's 2020 signing class, as the Green Wave add Olivia Morgan of Seattle, Washington to their roster.
"We are thrilled to have Olivia join our beach program," Zimet said. "Olivia has been off-the-charts enthusiastic about Tulane for a long time now and we are excited to make it official."
A four-year letterwinner on the Issaquah High School varsity indoor volleyball team, Morgan led her team to state championship appearances in both her junior and senior years. The New Orleans newcomer also earned honorable mention league honors in her final season with the team, where she played setter after spending three years on the court as an outside hitter.
Morgan also spent four years competing on the sand, playing for the DaKine Beach Volleyball Club.
"Having trained at a very high level with DaKine, we are looking to have her length and skills continue to develop and become a growing impact on our roster," Zimet added. "Combined with a stellar business sense and recognized leadership skills, I am certain Olivia will be a fantastic addition to our team culture and Tulane community."
The incoming Green Wave joins Savka Popovic of Chicago Heights, Illinois, Julia Soeller of Vancouver, British Columbia and Lara Torruella of San Juan, Puerto Rico on Tulane's roster next season.
