NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane men's tennis team returns home to host a pair of matches, beginning Friday, March 15 when No. 46 Old Dominion comes to town for a noon match at the City Park Tennis Center.
The Green Wave (4-10) will then host Pepperdine on Sunday at 1 p.m., as part of a simultaneous doubleheader with the women's tennis team.
SCOUTING OLD DOMINION
The Monarchs (7-5) enter Friday's match as a top 50 team nationally and face No. 38 LSU on Thursday in Baton Rouge. Old Dominion owns a 6-0 record at home, but just a 1-5 mark in matches played away from its friendly confines. The Monarchs possess one ranked doubles team, as Aziz Kijametovic and Francois Musitelli hold a No. 30 listing in the ITA's national poll.
SCOUTING PEPPERDINE
The Waves (3-5) will play at nationally-ranked TCU on Friday evening, with their most recent result coming as a shutout home win over Navy on March 11. Enrique Rico leads the team with a 10-4 overall singles mark, including a 5-2 record at the No. 2 spot in the lineup.
Tulane junior Dane Esses played his first two years of college tennis at Pepperdine before transferring to Tulane last summer. Esses compiled a 35-29 overall record in singles and a 15-19 doubles ledger during his tenure in Malibu.
IN THE ITA RANKINGS
Tulane possesses one player listed in the latest Oracle/ITA national singles rankings, as Luis Erlenbusch holds the Wave's top singles mark at No. 72

Junior Ewan Moore was named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Jan. 29 for the first time this season and the second time in his career.
