Men's Tennis Falls at UCF, 4-3

The Green Wave (4-9) fell behind early in doubles, as the Knights (7-5) scratched and clawed their way to wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, 6-3 and 6-4, respectively, to take an early 1-0 lead in the overall match.
Sophomore Hamish Stewart got Tulane on the board with a 6-3, 6-1 upset win over 122nd-ranked Alan Rubio at No. 3, but UCF remained in control by claiming the first set on three courts.
The Knights pushed on, earning straight-set victories at No. 2 and No. 4 singles, before holding on for a three-set victory at No. 5 to clinch the match.
The Green Wave were able to collect a pair of singles wins as the remaining two matches played out, as junior Ewan Moore closed out an impressive 6-4, 6-7(6), 1-0(6) upset win over 18th-ranked Gabriel Decamps on court one.
Sophomore Akos Kotorman also came out on top in a third-set tiebreaker, topping Mikhail Sokolovskiy, 6-4, 2-6, 1-0(8), on court six.
Tulane heads Tampa to face another conference opponent, USF, on Friday, March 8. First serve is set for 12:30 p.m. (CT), at the USF Tennis Complex.
