BATON ROUGE — The Tulane swimming & diving team (1-2) recorded four first-place finishes on Monday before falling to LSU (111-189) at the LSU Natatorium.
"It's always disappointing to lose a competition but I think we made a lot of individual gains," head coach Leah Stancil said. "We had quite a few career wins in terms of best times and we improved in technical skills from our previous meets. We still have room to grow but I am very proud of how resilient the team has been during this fall. We are continuing to take steps in the right direction."
Senior Kate McDonald shined in the weekday meet in Baton Rouge, winning both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.59) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:14.92) events. Both of those times were season-bests for the fourth-year swimmer.
