NEW ORLEANS — Tulane swimming and diving head coach Leah Stancil announced on Wednesday the addition of Charlotte Frank to the team's 2021 signing class.
"I'm very excited about Charlotte joining the team. This is a fantastic class all around,"Â diving coach John Sirmon said. "All of our incoming divers come from strong club programs and they're going to be a big factor as we continue to elevate the program."
Frank comes to New Orleans from New Canaan, Connecticut, where she was a four-year letterwinner on New Canaan High School's diving team. A team MVP in 2018 and 2019, Frank also received all-state honors in 2018 and 2019 and all-conference honors in 2019.
The incoming Green Wave became a Connecticut Class L state champion in 2019, breaking the school record in the 6-dive (281.70) while recording a best mark of 454.00 in the 11-dive.
Frank also competed for the Whirlwind Diving Club, becoming a three-time USA Diving Zone qualifier in 2016, 2017 and 2018 and a USA Diving Junior National qualifier in 2018. A YMCA National Champion sixth-place finisher in the 1-meter and an 11th-place finisher in the 3-meter in 2018, Frank went on to record high scores of 347.70 (1m) and 330.05 (3m) in 2019.
Frank is set to join Anna Behrman of Kennesaw, Georgia, Reese Dunkenberger of Ellison, Virginia, Avery Francis of Helotes, Texas, Sam Krew of Scottsdale, Arizona and Eleanor McMeen of LaGrange, Illinois on the Olive and Blue roster next season.
The Tulane swimming & diving team is back in action on Monday, Dec. 14 as the Green Wave head to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to take on LSU at 11 a.m.
