Rosenberg Finishes Tied at 10th, Tulane 7th at AllState Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's golf team posted an six-over 882 over three rounds of the All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate to close the tournament in 7th place.
After logging a two-over 75 in the first round and a three-under 70 in the second, Jennifer Rosenberg, shot a two-under 71 to finish in 10th place. She made five birdies against three bogeys on the day.

"Delighted with the response from the players today. They showed a lot of heart in battling back from a poor second round," Green Wave head coach Stew Burke said. "As the host of the tournament we hold ourselves to a higher standard and shooting the second low round of the day in a strong field shows the direction this program is moving."

The Green Wave shot three-over 295 in the first round, an eight-over 300 in the second, and a five-under 287 in the third and final round.

Senior Haydyn Gibson played solid throughout, posting an even par, 73 on the day. The senior shot a 35 on the front side and had two birdies against two bogeys in the final round of play.
Freshman Sandra Vazquez also shot par or better on the day, finishing the tournament with a three-under 70. Vazquez carded six birdies on the day, four of which came on the back nine.
Isabella Cardenas was the fourth Green Wave to post a score of par or better, carding a 73. Carlota Palacios shot 77 on the day, and Hanna Liu Finished with a one-over par 74.
 Florida won the overall team competition with a 23-under 853 after an 11-under 281 day. Florida's Clara Manzalini and Miami's Anna Backman tied for low-individual with a seven-under overall score.Â

The Green Wave will return to action on March 9th and 10th  at the Wildcat Invitational in Tucson, Arizona.
