Myers Announces Addition of Victoria Robinson to XC
Oct 21, 2021 | Women's Cross Country
New Orleans - The Tulane University cross country and track teams will welcome senior transfer Victoria Robinson to the team for the spring semester.
"Victoria improved immensely for me at NIU while also being a very accomplished student," Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Adrian Myers said. "As a regular podium finisher in the MAC, I see her having even more success here in Uptown. She is a tremendously talented and hardworking young lady. I cannot wait to finish what we started at NIU here at Tulane."
Robinson joins the Tulane teams after being a multi-time Mid-American Conference 800m medalist. She competed with the Northern Illinois University track team in 2019, and both the cross country and track teams in the 2020-2021 season
In the 2020-21 season, Robinson assisted the NIU team in their win for the MAC team championship title in both cross country and track.
Robinson saw a season best time in the indoor 800m at the 20-21 MAC championship, finishing runner-up. That outdoor season her 800m also garnered a season best time with a 2:09.34 finish, clinching fourth place at the meet.
Robinson's 2019-2020 season also saw an array of top 10 finishes, including the MAC championship, the Bill Clinger Classic, the John Gartland Invitational, the Hawkeye Invitational and the Fred Wilt Open.
Prior to joining the NIU team, Robinson was a member of the Kansas State cross country and track teams from 2017-2019.
While at Kansas State, Robinson's outdoor 800m personal best was a 2:17.02 run at the 2018 Kansas Relays.
Originally from Lansing, Kansas, Robinson holds two Lansing High School records and metaled 15 times at state meets while in the program. She also holds the title of most decorated track athlete in Lansing High School's program history.
Robinson joins Tulane for her senior season as a health sciences major.
