
Volleyball Falls to Houston in Four Sets

HOUSTON - The Green Wave dropped their second meeting of the season with Houston, the first match was back in September in New Orleans. The Wave fall lost its fifth conference match by way of (23-25,16-25,25-18,13-25) on Wednesday evening.
The Green Wave now stand at 13-9 overall and 6-5 in conference with tonight's loss.
Tulane out hit Houston .288 to .282 and had 62 digs to the Cougars 58.
Four player had double-digit kills in the match Lexie Douglas, Michelle Urquhart, Kayla Dinkins and Anna Davis. Douglas claimed herself a double-double with matching 15's under both the kills and digs columns. She managed to rack up 16.5 points with two blocks. Urquhart and Dinkins followed closely behind with 13 a piece. Davis added 10 of her own hitting .476 in the match. She accounted for three blocks and 12.5 points.
Senior setter Taylor Henigsman drew 45 assists, three digs and an ace.
On the defensive side, libero Mackenzie Martin left the match with 13 digs, just behind Douglas. Defensive specialist Sophia Ervanian tallied seven digs throughout the four sets.
The Green Wave return to Uptown Sunday Oct. 31 to take on Temple. First serve is set for noon and will be aired on ESPN+.
