
Volleyball Starts Round Two of Conference Play

GAME NOTES
New Orleans -Â The Tulane University volleyball team will kick off round two of American Athletic Conference play with a midweek matchup against the University of Houston on Wednesday, before heading home to host Temple University on Sunday. The pair of matches come after back-to-back road matches against East Carolina and Cincinnati last week.

The Green Wave will seek a fifth straight win against the Temple volleyball team this Sunday. The weekend match will be the second meeting between Tulane and Temple this season. The Olive and Blue beat the Owls in four last month.Â

RANKINGS
Tulane was picked fourth in the 2021 AAC Volleyball Preseason Poll, returning nearly the entire roster from the spring 2021 season. After the first round of play Tulane currently sits in a three-way tie for fifth in the AAC. Meanwhile Houston sits in a three-way tie for second at 7-3 and Temple is in 10th with a 1-9 record.

AWARDS
The Green Wave picked up two preseason all-conference team selections in seniors Lexie Douglasand Kayla Dinkins. Tulane has also earned four AAC weekly honor roll selections in Michelle Urquhart, Anna Davis, Douglas (2), Dinkins and Mackenzie Martin.
