Oct 9, 2021 | Women's Golf
DENVER – The Green Wave Golf team finished up their second day of competition at Ron Moore Intercollegiate on Saturday.
Today marked the second day of the three-day tournament hosted by Denver University with Tulane currently tied for 10th place as a team.
"I was pleased with the way we managed ourselves in tough conditions today" head coach Stew Burke said. "Our team round was in the top few posted and the ladies feel like they left a few out there. As a coach when your team plays solid golf and aren't satisfied with the result shows how far we've come this semester as a team. We are in position to move up tomorrow and finish out the season on a high note in mile high city."
Junior Sandra Vazquez had the best score of the day for the Green Wave shooting one-under par for a card of 71. After carding 77 in the first round, she currently sits tied for 37th.
Redshirt junior Hannah Rose Bruxvoort carded a total of two-over-par 74 and is sitting tied for 24th. She carded par in the first round for a total card of 146.
Sophomore Daozeng Liu was five-over-par at 77 in the second round. She shot par in the first round and is currently tied for 40th.
Teammates Hanna Liu and Carlota Palacios also both carded rounds of 74 in the second round. Liu currently is tied for 53rd with a total card of 151. Palacios is tied for 65th and holds a score of 153.
Tomorrow is the third and final day of the Ron Moore Intercollegiate. The final day also will mark the end of the fall season for the Green Wave golf team.
