
Volleyball Takes On Cincinnati and ECU this Weekend at Home

NEW ORLEANS -Â The Tulane University volleyball team will welcome Cincinnati and East Carolina to New Orleans this weekend for a pair of home matchups. The Green Wave will face Cincinnati on Friday, followed by a matchup against East Carolina Sunday.Â

This will be the second time Tulane has faced East Carolina this season. In their October matchup, Tulane took East Carolina to five sets before claiming a 3-2 win.Â

RANKINGS
Tulane was picked fourth in the 2021 American Athletic Conference Volleyball Preseason Poll, returning nearly the entire roster from the spring 2021 season. Tulsa and Wichita saw back-to-back selections for 9th and 8th respectively. After nine weeks of play, Tulane sits with Tulsa in a two-way tie for fourth in the AAC at 7-5. Wichita State is one of three teams tied for third at 8-4.

The Green Wave picked up two preseason all-conference team selections in seniors Lexie Douglas and Kayla Dinkins. Tulane has also earned four AAC weekly honor roll selections in Michelle Urquhart, Anna Davis, Douglas, Dinkins and Mackenzie Martin. Dinkins captured her second honor roll selection with her performance last week against Tulsa and Wichita. State. The middle hitter 18 kills averaging 3 a set while hitting a staggering .378, she is responsible for 23.5 of Tulane's points on the week.Â
