
Volleyball Sets Off for Its Last Road Weekend of the Season

New Orleans -Â The Tulane University volleyball team will take to the road later this week for a pair of weekend matchups. The Wave will head to Dallas to face SMU on Friday, before making their way to Memphis for a Sunday match. The weekend of conference play will mark the penultimate week of regular season play.

Tulane was picked fourth in 2021 American Athletic Conference Volleyball Preseason Poll, returning nearly the entire roster from the spring 2021 season. After twelve weeks of play Tulane currently sits in sixth in the AAC. Meanwhile SMU sits in a tie with Cincinnati at 10-6 for fourth place and Memphis is knotted up with ECU for eighth place finishes with a 5-11 record.

The Green Wave picked up two preseason all-conference team selections in seniors Lexie Douglas and Kayla Dinkins. Tulane has also earned four AAC weekly honor roll selections in Michelle Urquhart, Anna Davis, Douglas, Dinkins and Mackenzie Martin.

- Jillian Dits sits in 16th in the AAC with 265 digs averaging 2.79 a set.
- Sophia Ervanian sits in 17th in the AAC with 330 digs averaging 2.78 a set.
- Earlier in the season, Martin broke the program record for most digs in a single match, 41.
