
Tulane Sailing COED and Women’s Teams Land in Top 10 of Final Fall Rankings

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University Sailing COED and women's teams finished the fall season in the final Sailing World rankings. The Green Wave landed fifth in the final COED ranking and ninth in the women's poll.
The Tulane COED team performed well during the fall season recording four top-five finishes. The Green Wave finished fourth out of 18 teams in the Nevins Trophy Regatta and fourth out of 20 in the Danmark Trophy Regatta. Tulane also picked up a winning performance in the SEISA Fall Coed Championship on October 30. Cameron Giblin, Andrea Riefkohl-Gonzalez, Asher Zittrer and Gillian Perrell represented the team at the Atlantic Coast Championship finals where the Wave landed fifth out of 18 teams.
As for the Tulane women's sailing team, the Green Wave were led by Ciara Rodriguez-Horan and Caroline Benson to reach their highest ranking of second in the country mid-year. The Olive and Blue also claimed victory in the SEISA Fall Women's Championship on October 31. Tulane will serve as the host to the National Championship later in the spring.
