Men's Tennis Meets Florida State, Miami in Tallahassee

NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane men's tennis team travels to Tallahassee, Florida for matches against a pair of Atlantic Coast Conference opponents including host Florida State and Miami (Fla.).
The Green Wave will take on the Seminoles on Saturday, February 13 at 2 p.m. (CT), before facing the Hurricanes on the following day at 11 a.m. Both matches will be played at the Speicher Tennis Center on FSU's campus.
SCOUTING FLORIDA STATE
The Seminoles (3-1) battle Auburn on Feb. 12 and last competed on Jan. 24 in a 7-0 road loss against nationally-ranked Georgia. Their three wins have come against North Florida, Mercer and South Alabama. Florida State possesses two ranked singles players with No. 77 Alex Knaff and No. 108 Rana-Roop Singh Bullar.
SCOUTING MIAMI
The Hurricanes (0-1) face Auburn on Feb. 13 and suffered a 4-3 setback against No. 18 UCF in their season opener on Feb. 7. Miami has two singles players ranked in the ITA poll including No. 34 Adria Soriano Barrera and No. 64 Stefan Milicevic. In doubles, the Hurricanes have own the nation's No. 22 doubles team comprised of Franco Aubone and Bejnamin Hannestad.
LAST TIME OUT
Tulane got back to its winning ways with an impressive 5-2 road win over in-state rival LSU on Feb. 7. The Green Wave clinched the doubles point with wins on courts one and two, respectively, before winning in straight sets in singles on courts three, four, five and six.
IN THE RANKINGS
The Green Wave possess two players listed in the ITA's national singles rankings, led by senior Hamish Stewart at No. 40 and fifth-year senior Ewan Moore at No. 53.
THE DOUBLES POINT
Tulane has won the doubles point in all six of its matches this season and own a combined 14-1 overall record. Stewart and Moore are 6-0 at the No. 1 spot in the lineup, while freshman Billy Suarez and senior Akos Kotorman are 5-0 playing at the No. 2 position.
