Women's Tennis Hosts South Alabama Sunday

NEW ORLEANS – Owning a 6-0 record at home this spring, the Tulane women's tennis team closes out its homestand against South Alabama on Sunday, February 28 at the City Park Tennis Center at 1 p.m.
SCOUTING SOUTH ALABAMA
The Jaguars (6-2) enter Sunday's matchup with wins in three of their last five, but suffered a 4-3 road loss at Southern Miss on Feb. 26 and are now just 1-2 in road contests this spring.
LAST TIME THEY MET – FEBRUARY 17, 2018
The Green Wave won the doubles point with 6-1 and 6-0 victories on courts one and two, respectively, before splitting the six singles matches to hold on for a 4-3 home win. Laura Fabrizi, Ivone Alvaro and Elena Muller won in straight sets on courts two, three and four, respectively, to give the Wave the upper hand.
LAST TIME OUT
Tulane (6-3) swept all three doubles courts and won five singles matches - four in straight sets - in a 6-1 home win over Southeastern Louisiana on Feb. 19.

TULANE IN THE ITA RANKINGS
Green Wave sophomore Mackenzie Clark is ranked No. 108 in the ITA's national singles rankings to begin the season. In doubles, Clark and 2020 ITA All-American Mary Caroline Meredith comprise the nation's No. 54 duo.
THE DOUBLES POINT
The Green Wave are 6-0 this season when winning the doubles point and 0-3 when they do not. Tulane has won all three doubles matches in four of the six instances in which they clinch the first team point.
WELCOME BACK FANS!
In accordance with current city and campus guidelines, Tulane Athletics is pleased to announce the accommodation of a limited number of fans attend Tulane tennis matches at the City Park Tennis Center. Fans are encouraged to bring their own bag chairs for seating. All spectators will be asked to remain six feet away from the courts at all times, respect social distancing rules, avoid gathering and remain six feet away from others. All spectators are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth while inside City Park.
