Golf Set to Host All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's golf team will host the All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate at English Turn Golf and Country Club starting Sunday, March 14.

The tournament will be a three-day event with the first two rounds opening at 9 a.m. CT off holes one and 10. The final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The event will be held at the par-72, 6,280-yard English Turn Golf and Country Club.

The Green Wave will face Central Arkansas, Chattanooga, Louisiana Monroe, Loyola (New Orleans), McNeese, Nebraska, Rutgers, Southern Miss, SMU, Texas State and Wisconsin this weekend.

The lineup for Tulane this week includes senior Jennifer Rosenberg at No. 1, freshman Miriam Emmert at No. 2, sophomore Carlota Palacios at No. 3, sophomore Sandra Vazquez at No. 4 and junior Isabella Cardenas at No. 5. Sophomore Hanna Liu and freshmen Daozeng Liu and Hannah Rose Bruxvoort will compete as individuals.

The Green Wave are coming off a fifth-place finish at the Lake Oconee Invitational. Sophomore Carlota Palacios finished second individually with a total score of 3-over 219. She registered two rounds of 74 and a 1-under 71 in the second round during the tournament. She leads the team with a 74.7 stroke average this season.

Senior Jennifer Rosenberg closed the three-day event tied for 11th at 9-over 225. Rosenberg posted her best round of the season with an even-par 72 in the final round. She logged four birdies in the final round and nine for the tournament. She has averaged 76 strokes per round this season.
