NEW ORLEANS — Tulane volleyball's senior outside hitter Lexie Douglas was named to the American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll, the league announced Monday.
Totaling 44 kills last week on the road at SMU, Douglas tied her career-high with 22 kills in back-to-back matches against the Mustangs. The Plano, Texas, native earned her seventh double-double of the season in the Green Wave's 3-1 win on Thursday, hitting .327 while adding 21 digs and four blocks. In Tulane's four-set battle on Friday, the senior hit .256 while adding six digs and two blocks.
Douglas now ranks fifth in The American in kills per set with 3.77 and is also fourth in the conference with an average of 4.29 points per set.Â
This marks the second time this season that Douglas has earned a spot on the weekly honor roll.
