Track and Field Finishes Out Crimson Tide Invitational

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. —The Tulane track and field team closed out the Crimson Tide Invitational at the University of Alabama, as the team had an impactful weekend with new marks and wins against considerable competition.
To highlight yesterday, Migle Muraskaite placed third in the heptathlon with 5373 points, smashing the previous outdoor record at Tulane. Muraskaite leads the American Athletic Conference in the heptathlon and holds one of the highest marks in the country.
Tri Malej won the triple jump with a personal record mark of 13.28m to continue a season long victory streak.
"Tri was simply dominant today in a very competitive field," director of cross country and track and field said. "Tri opened the competition with a new personal best and school record and then finished the competition with an even better jump. Tri really has elevated the performance level significantly this season."
Nastja Modic placed fifth in the pole vault with an impressive mark of 3.97m. Hunter Robinson earned a fourth-place finish in the 400m with a time of 55.36.
Hannah Patrick earned a fifth place finish in the javelin with a mark of 44.86m.
Tulane returns to action when it competes Saturday, April 17 in Baton Rouge at the LSU Boots Garland Invitational.
