BATON ROUGE - Up against 12 other schools, the Tulane track and field team completed the Boots Garland Invitational at LSU on Saturday afternoon.

Hannah Patrick clinched a win for the Green Wave in the javelin throw with a mark of 39.82m.

In the 100m hurdles, Kyah Loyd placed fifth with a time of 13.55. In the 400m hurdles, Louise Jones earned a fourth-place finish with a time of 1:02.04.

For the pole vault, Nastja Modic placed third with a mark of 3.96m. Freshman, Kate Sander was right behind in fourth place with a mark of 3.66m. Tri Malej recorded a fifth-place finish for the Green Wave in the long jump with a mark of 5.85m.

The men's team also competed on the track, as Samuel Kellum earned an eighth-place finish in the 3000m with a time of 9:05.13. Ian Valdez followed in ninth, stopping the clock at 9:13.01.

Tulane competes again in Baton Rouge in two weeks at the LSU Invitational on May 1 for its final outdoor regular-season meet.
