Rosenberg Finishes Tied for Ninth at AAC Championship

PINEHURST, N.C. – The Tulane University women's golf team closed the 2021 season at the final round of the American Athletic Conference Championship. Senior Jennifer Rosenberg placed tied for ninth at Pinehurst No. 6 to lead the Green Wave.
Rosenberg led the way for the Olive and Blue as she posted a total score of 7-over 223 to place tied for ninth. She opened the final round with nine straight pars and finished the day with a score of 1-over 73. The lone senior on the roster finished the day with 16 pars and 41 over the 54 holes. Rosenberg had four birdies on the three-day event.
The Green Wave shot 14-over 302 in the final round to finish with a total score of 912 to place eighth as a team.
Sophomore Sandra Vazquez closed the event with a total score of 11-over 224 to place 18th. She shot 3-over 75 in the first round and 1-over 73 in the second round. Vazquez registered five birdies and one eagle during the championship.
Freshman Daozeng "Cleo" Liu placed tied for 25th with a total score of 230. She shot 4-over 76 in the final round and logged five birdies during the tournament.
Sophomore Hanna Liu placed tied for 37th individually. She had five birdies for the championship.
Sophomore Carlota Palacios shot her best round of the tournament with a 2-over 74 in the final round. She opened the final round with four birdies in her first eight holes. Palacios placed tied for 42nd and logged six birdies during the tournament.
Tulsa took the team championship with a total score of 24-over 888, while No. 20 Houston was the runner-up at 27-over 891. East Carolina's Dothea Forbrigd took the individual title at 1-under 215. No. 29 Lorena Tseng from Tulsa was the runner-up at even-par 216.
