
Track and Field Lands Fourth at UAB Spring Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —The Tulane track and field team finished up a successful second day of the UAB Spring Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Against a field of 14 schools, the Green Wave closed the weekend in fourth place with a total of 110.5 points.
To highlight the end of the track events, Louise Jones won the 400m hurdles with a personal-best time of 1:01.74.
In the 100m hurdles, Kristen O'Handley finished in sixth with a time of 14.35 which also earned her a sixth place spot in the Tulane record book. Migle Muraskaite was right behind in seventh place with a time of 14.45, and she claimed a ninth place spot in the record book.
In the discus, Maren Butler finished in sixth with a throw of 42.03m, for a new personal record. Dannielle Line came in seventh with a distance of 39.61m for a new personal record that landed her ninth in the Tulane record book. Line also came in sixth in the hammer throw with a mark of 47.77m, earning another spot another spot on the school's all-time charts, this time in fourth place.
Hunter Robinson won the 400m dash with a time of 55.15. Maya Harewood was up next in second place with a finish of 55.27. Robinson also earned fourth place in the 200m dash with a time of 24.17.
The next meet for the Green Wave will be April 8-10 at the Crimson Tide Invitational in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
