
Tulane Sits Within the Top Five After Two Rounds at the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational

Manhattan, Kansas – The Tulane University women's golf team resumed competition on Monday at the 2021 Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational and sit in fourth-place after two rounds of play. Kansas State is serving as the host of the two-day tournament at the par 72, 6,221-yard Colbert Hills Golf Course.

The Green Wave posted a round one score of 301 and a round two score of 299, finishing day one with a total of 600.

Sophomore Cleo Liu led the way for the Green Wave, as she carded an opening round of two-over par at 74. In the second round, Liu carded a score of one-over par at 73 and currently sits tied for fourth heading into the final round. Â

Juniors Sandra Vazquez and Hanna Liu currently sit tied for eighth. Vazquez shot an even par of 72 in the first round and was four-over par with a score of 76 in the second. Liu was one-over par in the first round and carded a score of two-over par at 75 in the second round. Â

Also, in action are redshirt junior Hannah Rose Bruxvoort who currently sits tied for 44th, junior Carlota Palacios who sits at 55th.

Nebraska leads the way in the team standings after two rounds and owns a total score of 581.Â

At the Hoover Invitational in Birmingham, Ala. freshman Ruhee Pandit currently sits tied for ninth after she carded a score of three-over par of 75 in round one and round two. Â

The Green Wave are competing as individuals at the Hoover Invitational with the field currently being led by Letizia Bagnoli of Florida Atlantic University.
