THE MATCHUPS
Tulane and Wichita State meet for the first time this season. The Wave took both matches last season. Tulane holds a 4-3 advantage in the series all-time. Against Tulsa, Tulane is 18-17 all-time and 8-6 at home. The teamS met last season, when the Wave swept the Hurricanes.
PRESEASON RANKINGS
Tulane was picked fourth in 2021 American Athletic Conference Volleyball Preseason Poll, returning nearly the entire roster from the spring 2021 season. While the two competitors this weekend to finish eighth (WSU) and ninth (Tulsa) in the league.

PRESEASON AWARDS
The Green Wave picked up two preseason all-conference team selections in seniors Lexie Douglas and Kayla Dinkins. The Wave have also earned two AAC weekly honor roll selections in freshman Michelle Urquhart and Dinkins.

·      Lexie Douglas is 41 kills from breaking into the top 10 in career kills list at Tulane.
·      Douglas is 157 attacks away from moving into fourth on the all-time career attacks list at Tulane.
·      Douglas was one of five unanimous selections across the conference.
·      Tulane owns the AAC second best hitting percentage at .228.
·      Danyelle Williams and Michelle Urquhart lead the AAC in aces per set at .48 and .47 respectively.
·      Urquhart leads the league in total aces with 18.

Dinkins sits at sixth in the AAC hitting percentage with .335 on the year.
Dinkins sits at ninth in school history in block assists with 324, she pushed out Tulane great Alicia Robertson from the top ten.
10. Taylor Henigsman is ninth in program history in assists at 1,813.
Urquhart is sixth in the AAC in total kills with 121
Urquhart has three double-doubles so far this season.
