
Tulane Track & Field Heads to McNeese

New Orleans- The Tulane University track and field team heads to Lake Charles, Louisiana to compete in the McNeese Indoor & Multi. The two-day event with kick off Friday and conclude Saturday.
The multi-events will be the only ones held on Friday beginning at 11 a.m. However, the Green Wave will not take to competition until Saturday.
Day two will begin with multi-events at 8 a.m. with the men's 55-meter hurdles. Open field events will start at 11:30 a.m. with the women's weight throw and men's shot put. Open running events will start at 3 p.m. with the men's and women's 1-mile race.
Tulane will travel five athletes to the event. Kristen Leggas, Kate Sander, Rebecca Smith and Megan Fitzgerald will all be competing in the pole vault at 3:30 PM. While Jordyn Lesh will Triple Jump following the men's competition at 4:30.
A total of 24 men's and women's teams consisting of 12 schools are entered. The Green Wave will join – Nicholls M/W, ULL M/W, Southeastern M/W, ULM M/W, Dillard M/W, Huston-Tillotson M/W, LeTourneau M/W, Loyola-New Orleans M/W, St. Thomas M/W, Texas Lutheran M/W, Raheny Shamrocks M, and host McNeese State M/W.
Admission is free for Friday's events. Saturday's cost will be $10 to enter. Live results will be available on the McNeese Athletics website.
