Green Wave Stays in the Bayou State for the Cajuns Classic

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane Men's Tennis team will stay in the Bayou State to compete in the Cajuns Classic hosted by Louisiana at Lafayette Friday through Sunday. This marks the first trip to Lafayette, Louisiana, for a fall tournament for the Green Wave since the ULL Invitational in 2010.
The tournament will feature seven teams: Louisiana-Lafayette, LSU, Tulane, Nicholls, Southern Miss, South Alabama, and Tyler Junior College. Competition will be broken up into three separate flights with Flights 1 and 2 being played at City Club and Flight 3 at Oakbourne Country Club.
Four players will take to the courts for the Green Wave this weekend for both singles and doubles action. Fynn Kuenkler and Alex Bancila will represent Tulane in Flight 1 singles while Rafael de Alba and Luc Hoeijmans will compete in Flight 2 singles. Hoeijmans will team up with Kuenkler and Bancila with de Alba for doubles play.
Competition will begin Friday with the first round of doubles at 8:30 a.m. followed by the second round of doubles at 9:45 a.m. Singles action will begin at 12:45 Friday afternoon.
