Galic Earns AAC Weekly Honor Roll Selection

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University Women's Basketball graduate student Marta Galic was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday by the league office. This marks the first time in her Green Wave career Galic has been selected for a weekly conference honor.

Galic earned the selection after helping Tulane to a 1-1 start in the first week of the regular season. The Zagreb, Croatia, product averaged 14 points and nine rebounds in 31.5 minutes per game for the Wave. She connected at an impressive 43.5 percent clip from the field and 58.3 percent from beyond the arc.

In the season opener against Grambling State on Monday, November 7, Galic led the Green Wave to a 72-46 victory with a game-high 19 points with five made three-pointers. She also hauled in a game-high 10 rebounds to notch her second career double-double and her first at Tulane. Galic followed that performance by posting nine points and eight boards in the 72-61 loss to Alabama on Thursday, November 10.

The Green Wave will be back in action on Thursday for its first road test of the season at South Alabama. Tipoff between Tulane and the Jaguars is set for 7 p.m. and will be aired on ESPN+.
