HOUSTON – The Tulane swimming & diving team completed the final day of competition at the Phill Hansel Invitational Saturday at the CRWC Natatorium in Houston.
"Great finish to the weekend," head coach Amanda Caldwell said. "I could not be more proud of our women for how they raced day in and day out, and again dug deep to finish strong on our relays. Looking forward to getting back to work after thanksgiving break to prepare for next semester"

The Green Wave finished in fourth place out of six teams with a score of 882. The University of Houston placed first with 1812.5.

The afternoon finals got off to a great start with Sydney Mullin placing sixth in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:52.22. Â

Danielle Titus swam strong all weekend and would top it off with a podium finish. In the 200-yard backstroke, she clocked 1:58.07 and placed 2nd. Grace Dale. Would finish close behind with a 4th place time of 1:59.78, while Mya Drost-Parra would finish 7th with a time of 2:02.90.

Kate Amar clocked a 2:00.73 in the 200-yard butterfly to lock up 4th place, while Drost-Parra took 8th.

The final event of the weekend would be the 400-free relay swam by Dale, Reily Hendrix, Titus, and Krew. The girls would place 3rd with a time 3:25.15.

The women of the Green Wave will be back in action Saturday, Jan. 6, as they head up to the island of O'ahu to take on the Rainbow Warriors.
