
Track & Field To Start the 2022-23 Campaign at the BSC Panther Indoor Icebreaker On Friday

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane indoor track & field program begins the 2022-23 season with a trip to Birmingham, Alabama to participate in the BSC Panther Indoor Icebreaker on Friday starting at 9 a.m. at the Birmingham Crossplex.
The program is expected to send eight men (Zander Dunbar, Jalen St. Fort, Roman Schrader, Jamie Polakoff, Francisco Roman III, Bethwel Tum and Iker Yturralde) to the meet. The Tulane women's team has a delegation of 26 that are expected to make their season debut in Alabama (Victoria Robinson, Abigail Heck, Alexis Esteves, Megan Fitzgerald, Alina Florou-Dimitriadou, Cosette Fleury, Kristina Leggas, Kate Sander, Alexandra Potts, Kara Steele, Tolu Ajayi, Shamiso Zihumo, Kristen O'Handley, Margot Temines, Patricija Ozolina, Laura Fodor, Kaia Todd, Maren Butler, Alyssa Taylor, Norah Bice, Alyssa Dismuke, Emma Simons, Isabella Gonzalez, Ashley Horwitz and Brianna Kirsch).
The running events on Friday begin at 9 a.m. with the women's and men's 60h preliminaries. The field events start at 9 a.m. with the men's weight throw.
Tulane had a pair of All-Conference AAC members last year as Fitzgerald ranked third in the pole vault and Temines had the top heptathlon mark in the state and third-best at the meet with her 5,413 points at the championship.
Next, the program takes a break for the holidays and will next be on the track from Jan. 13-14 at the Rod McCravy Memorial in Lexington, Kentucky.
