Baseball Evens the Series Up with LA Tech

RUSTON, La. – The Tulane University baseball team defeated La Tech, 4-1, Sunday afternoon inside J.C. Love field at Pat Patterson Park to even up the series at one all. Tulane's win over La Tech handed the Bulldog's their first loss of the 2022 season.

The Green Wave recorded four runs on six hits. The lone pitcher, Dylan Carmouch, stepped up to only allow the Bulldogs one runs on four hits, while striking out four batters and giving up no walks. Redshirt sophomore Brady Hebert and graduate student Trevor Minder led the Green Wave at the plate with one hit and two RBI a piece.

We were scoreless in Ruston through three and a half innings of work until La Tech put one on the board in the bottom of the fourth. The Green Wave countered in the top of the fifth with a two-run homerun off the bat of Minder.
The Green Wave would tack on a couple more in the top of the seventh off the bat of Hebert. The third baseman singled through the right side to score Ethan Gross and Jared Hart to extend the lead to 4-1.
The Olive and Blue were able to hold the Bulldogs scoreless the rest of the way and take the win. The Bulldog's Ryan Jennings took the loss with 6.2 innings pitched, five hits and four earned runs.
