
Track and Field Set to do Battle in Three Competitions This Weekend

NEW ORLEANS — The Tulane indoor track and field team is traveling across the country this weekend to compete in three separate competitions. The team is traveling to the Crimson Elite meet at Harvard in Cambridge, the Bayou Bengal meet at LSU in Baton Rouge, and the Scarlet & White Invitational at Boston University in Boston.
BAYOU BENGAL
The Bayou Bengal will take place on Friday in the Carl Maddox Fieldhouse.
The field events start at 9:30 a.m. CT with the weight throw and the running events start at 1:00 p.m. CT with the 60m. The first action of the day for Tulane will be in the mile run. Brenda Ellis will compete in the women's race which takes place at 2:35 p.m. CT and Adam Aldahair will compete in the men's race which starts at 2:50 p.m. CT.
Green Wave athletes are going to be featured in the triple jump and shot put on the field events side. The Wave will also have four athletes, Megan Fitzgerald, Kristina Leggas, and Kate Sander, competing in the women's pole vault, which starts at 3:00 p.m. CT. Last time out at McNeese State, Sander placed third and Leggas placed fourth in the pole vault.
On the running side, Tulane athletes will compete in the mile, 200m, and 400m.

CRIMSON ELITE
The Crimson Elite will take place on Friday in the Gordon Indoor Track.
The women's pentathlon is the first event of the day, starting at 9:00 a.m. CT. Tulane will have five athletes in the event.
Graduate student Margot Termines is coming off a victory at the Samford Multi and Invitational where she posted a 3,767. Her score was the second-highest in program history.
Tulane will also clash in the shot put at 1:00 p.m. CT, the 60m hurdles at 3:25 p.m. CT, and the 60m at 4:00 p.m. CT.

SCARLET & WHITE
The Scarlet & White Invitational will take place on Saturday in the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.
The invitational starts at 10:00 a.m. CT with the pole vault.
Tulane has three athletes facing off in three different events. Janae Dean is competing in the 800m at 1:45 p.m. CT, Therese Olshanski is competing in the 1,000m at 2:05 p.m. CT, and Macy Turcotte is competing in the 3,000m at 2:50 p.m. CT.
Olshanski is coming off of an impressive outing at the Samford Multi and Invitational. The senior ran a 10:02.35, the 10th best time in program history.
