
Abigail Heck and Triple Jump Trio Lead Track & Field to Impressive Showing

MOBILE, Ala. – The Tulane University track & field team competed in the Jaguar Invitational in Mobile, Alabama this weekend.
The Green Wave sent 12 athletes to the meet hosted by South Alabama.
In her first collegiate track meet for the Green Wave, freshman Abigail Heck won the 400m dash with a blazing fast time of 1:00.21. She also came in fifth in the 200m dash.
Tulane women dominated the triple jump, taking first second and third in the event. Graduate student Kara Steele came in first, junior Jing Ren finished second, and graduate student Jordyn Lesh completed the victorious trio.
Senior Ian Valdez finished third in the 1500m. Valdez ran an impressive 4:09.76.
Freshman Adam Aldahair finished fifth in the 3000m with a 9:18.90.
Norah Bice and Kara Schiek finished fifth and eighth respectively in the women's javelin.
UP NEXT – The Green Wave travels to Lafayette for the Louisiana Classic on March 18th and 19th.
