
Play Suspended Partway Through Round Two at Briar’s Creek Invitational

Johns Island, S.C. – After this morning's start was delayed 30 minutes due to frost, the Tulane University women's golf team played one full round and part of round two before play was suspended due to darkness.

Cleo Liu and Sandra Vazquez were at the top of the Waves' leaderboard at the end of the first round, with scores of even-par (72) and one-over par (73) respectively.Â

Tulane finished the first round at 293, which has them placed in tenth at the end of the day.
Â
Vazquez shot five bogeys and five birdies in the first round and had her placed tied for sixth at the end of the round.
Â
Liu shot par on every hole in the first round which was good for tied at 14th at the conclusion of the first round.
Â
Miriam Emmert and Carla Bernat both shot 74 in the first round.
Â
Matilde Innocenti shot par on four holes on her way to a total round of five over par.
Â
The Wave will complete the final two holes of round two on Tuesday before starting round three. All teams will resume play at 7:45 a.m. CT. Live scoring can be found here.
