Tulane Track and Field Heads to Lone Star State for Pair of Meets

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University track and field team is traveling to two different outdoor meets in Texas this weekend from Thursday to Saturday.

The Wave is heading to the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, hosted by Texas State University, and the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin hosted by the University of Texas at Austin.

The last time Tulane competed in the pair of meets was the 2018-19 season.

LAST TIME OUT
Tulane competed in the Louisiana Classic hosted by ULL last weekend and claimed nine podiums.

Sophomore Kate Sander led the way for the wave as she won the women's pole vault with a height of 3.80m. Sander will be participating in the Bobcat Invitational.

The Wave had two athletes take the podium in the 1500m. Macy Turcotte finished second with a time of 4:39.377 and Victoria Robinson finished third with a final time of 4:41.770. Both athletes will compete in the Bobcat Invitational.

BOBCAT INVITATIONAL
The Bobcat Invitational will be held in the Texas State Track and Field Complex.

The Green Wave is sending 18 athletes to compete in the invitational.

The meet kicks off with the women's javelin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday and finishes up with the men's 4x400m relay at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday.

CLYDE LITTLEFIELD TEXAS RELAYS
The 94^th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays is being hosted in the Mike A Myers Stadium & Soccer Field.

The Green Wave is sending five athletes to compete in the meet.

The meet formally started today Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and will conclude on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. with the 4x400m relays.
