
Tulane Men’s Tennis to Host No. 56 South Florida Friday

NEW ORLEANS – The No. 64 Tulane University men's tennis will look to bounce back into the win column as it hosts No. 56 South Florida on Friday. The match between the Green Wave and the Bulls is set for 1 p.m. at the City Park Tennis Center.
The Wave enters the match with a 7-10 record on the season and a 4-4 mark at home following its loss to No. 1 TCU at City Park Tennis Center on Sunday.
Tulane and South Florida have met 18 times in program history with the all-time series tied 9-9. The Green Wave holds a 3-1 advantage over the Bulls in matches played in New Orleans. Three of the last four meetings between the Wave and USF have resulted in a Tulane victory including the latest match which the Green Wave won 4-3 in Tampa, Florida, on April 2, 2021. The last time Tulane defeated the Bulls in New Orleans came on April 8, 2018, by a final score of 6-1.
The Green Wave is led in doubles action by the pairing of Luc Hoeijmans and Fynn Kuenkler with eight wins on the season. In singles, Luka Petrovic leads Tulane with nine wins while Kuenkler holds the best record by win percentage at 8-4 on the year.
Following the match against the Bulls, the Green Wave will welcome No. 54 Central Florida to New Orleans Sunday, April 3. The match between Tulane and the Knights is set for 1 p.m. CT at City Park Tennis Center.
