
Beach Volleyball goes 3-1 at Tiger Beach Challenge

BATON ROUGE, LA — Tulane beach volleyball goes 3-1 at the Tiger Beach Challenge hosted by LSU.
Tulane matched up with the Stephen F. Austin first this morning and grabbed its fourth sweep of the season.
From the No. 1 position, Kendall Peters and Maddie Speicher took care of business winning 21-14, 21-10.
Ashton Mares and Sara Hall paired up on court two to grab the next point for Tulane. They would put away the SFA's duo 21-16, 21-18.
Samantha Mehlman and Lara Torruella dominated as the third pair taking their match 21-11, 21-16.
Haley Gibson and Savka Popovic paired up on court four winning 21-15, 21-13.
Josie Cole and Sam Green teamed up on court five as they defeated SFA's pair 21-12, 21-17.
"So Proud of our team's determination and grit," assistant coach Jade Hayes said. "Looking forward to being back at Whitesands for another epic home weekend!"
In the afternoon, Tulane took a tough 5-0 loss to the No. 4 ranked Loyola Marymount.
No. 2 pair Mehlman and Torruella got the closest taking Loyola's pair into three sets. After dropping the first set 16-21, they picked up the second 21-14. The duo made It close in the third dropping the set by a close 15-12.
