Â
The Green Wave earned points throughout the regular collegiate season to finish in the top 64 which qualified the team for a placement at one of the four sectional locations. The Green Wave was picked to attend the sectional at USA Bowl in Dallas, Texas. The format of the tournament was 64 baker games over two days and the top four teams with the highest total pinfall advanced to the ITC. The Green Wave performed consistently and was in 3rd position after 60 baker games. With a big last block, the Green Wave was able to pass Stephen F. Austin to claim the runner-up position behind another Southland league opponent Sam Houston. Tulane posted a qualifying pinfall of 12,616 pins over 64 baker games totaling a 197 average. The 4th team to qualify from the Dallas sectional was Wichita State.

McCall posted a total pinfall of 1,304 across six games to finish just 32 pins behind the top spot. After a slow start, the Myrtle Beach, S.C., native knocked down at least 224 pins in each of her last four games including 257 in her third game.Â
