May 19, 2022 | Men's Basketball
NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University men's basketball program announced the newest addition to its roster, as head coach Ron Hunter announced the signing of Tre' Williams who will play for the Green Wave this fall.
"Tre's is a true guard with great size, court vision and ability to score," Hunter said. "His experience and leadership will be a great asset for the upcoming season."
The 6'6 guard spent last season at Oregon State University, seeing action in 18 games while starting in two of those. Williams averaged 15.4 minutes per game with the Beavers.
Prior to OSU, the Dallas native spent two seasons with the Minnesota Gophers. As a sophomore Williams averaged 5.8 points and 2.5 rebounds per game and started in the last 13 games of the 2020-21 season for the Gophers. He also scored in double figures in nine of the 13 games he started in, including a career-high 17 versus Penn Stat.
