Hart Named a 2022 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I Gold Glove Finalist

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University center fielder Jared Hart was named a finalist for the 2022 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I Gold Glove team, the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced on Monday.
The finalists are voted on and selected by the ABCA NCAA Division I All-America committee, which is chaired by Tommy Raffo of Arkansas State University. Six of the finalists reached the 2022 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
Hart posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage while starting 59 games this season in center field. The redshirt junior totaled 161 putouts and 1 fielding assists over 162 chances all while leaving the error column blank.
Hart's 1.000 fielding percentage is tied for first in the conference with his overall ranking being third.
In his career at Tulane Hart has 269 putouts to just six fielding errors on 275 chances. His perfect fielding percentage for the second straight year has him tied for first in single season fielding percentage for the Green Wave.
Across all divisions, the ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams will be announced on Wednesday, June 22, by Rawlings via Twitter.
The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007 and are presented annually to the top defensive players from each division of collegiate and high school baseball.
