Tulane Men's Basketball in Preseason Form in Costa Rica

SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA - Tulane men's basketball looked to be in preseason form with a 97-61 win over Abogados on Sunday night.
Jalen Cook led the way for the Wave going 8-15 from the field and 7-10 from beyond the arc for 24 points. Sion James had an all around stellar night with 17 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks. Transfer Tre Williams added 14 points of his own, four rebounds and two assists. Jaylen Forbes had 13 points and two steals. Collin Holloway totaled 11 points, two rebounds and two assists.
The game was played with FIBA rules, meaning four ten minute quarters.
Cook scored 19 points in the first quarter, going 6-8 from beyond the arc. The Green Wave was able to get out to a easy 27-13 lead heading into the second.
Forbes had the hot hand in the second quarter with 11 points. James totaled four while pulling down four rebounds and three assists. Holloway had five points to give Tulane a 55-32 lead at the half.
James led the team in scoring in the third, adding nine points to the scoreboard. Cook and Holloway each added five of their own to help extend the lead to 87-50 with one quarter left to play.
With players coming off the bench, Tulane sealed a 97-61 victory. R.J. McGee had six points and six rebounds. Oton Jankovic, Kevin Cross and Percy Daniels all had four points.
Tulane will play their second game in Costa Rica on Tuesday night.
