
Cross Country Races in Rice Invitational

Houston, Texas – After a fast start to the 2022 season, the Green Wave hits the road to compete in the Rice Invitational on Friday night.
The women's 4000m race begins at 6:20 p.m., followed by the men's four-mile race at 6:50 p.m.
The meet will highlight the Tulane underclassman as many of the entries from the season opener last last will sit out, including men's winner Aaron Gilliam and women's top five finisher Danna Diaz.
"We're sitting a lot of athletes this weekend who competed in New Orleans last Friday so that we can elevate training over the next 4-weeks," director of cross country/track and field Adrian Myers said. "We're putting the pieces together over the next two months so that we can put our best roster on that line for AACs and NCAA Regionals."
Tucker Poshard, who finished in the top 20 in the UNO XC opener last Friday, highlights the men's roster. Sophia McNerney, who finished ninth in the UNO XC opener highlights the women's team.
Senior Mackenzie Callahan will race for Tulane for the first time this season after sitting out of the season opener.
