Sep 24, 2026 | Cross Country
CHICAGO – Tulane cross country is back in action tomorrow morning in the Windy City as both the Green Wave men's and women's squads will compete in the 48th Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational. The meet is hosted by Loyola Chicago at the Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course.
Action begins at 9:00 a.m. Friday morning with the women's 6K race. The men's 8K race follows at 9:40 a.m. Live scoring is available here.
Each race features 17 programs. The men's field is highlighted by a trio of ranked teams, including Tulane with its USTFCCCA coaches poll rank of No. 24. The Wave is joined by top-15 squads No. 11 Wisconsin and No. 13 Washington. Further deepening the field, two more programs – Michigan and Middle Tennessee State – are receiving votes. The Tulane women will also be tested with three more ranked foes on their side of the action: No. 12 Northwestern, No. 20 Virginia, and No. 24 Minnesota.
Representing the Tulane women tomorrow will be Isla Bulmer, Petra Dos Santos, Sophia Galiano-Sanchez, Allison Hall, Haley Harper, Blezzin Kimutai, Dorcas Naibei, Becky Osorio, Isabella Ramos, and Dana Rojas Vazquez. The Wave men will have 11 racers in action, and they are Bernard Cheruiyot, Juan Giron, Micah Grossman, Timothy Kibet, Silas Kiptanui, Paul James Pam, Daniel Reza, Tommy Rice, Gilbert Rono, Cooper Sorsen, and Conner Wingfield.
Tulane is looking to keep up the momentum from its season opener when the Wave swept through its own Battle for New Orleans. Both the Tulane men's and women's teams claimed victory with Kiptanui and Dos Santos earning their respective individual crowns. They both then earned their respective American Athlete of the Week honors.
Now in the heart of the season, Tulane remains in action next week as part of four consecutive weekends of competition. The Wave will be closer to home, returning to the Pelican State for the Nicholls XC Invitational on Saturday, October 3. The meet takes place in Thibodaux, Louisiana, and is hosted by the namesake Colonels.
