
Tulane in 12th After First Day at ACC Open Championship

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – At the close of the first day of racing in the Atlantic Coast Open Championship Tulane University sailing landed in 12th out of 18 teams in the regatta on Saturday.

The Green Wave posted 208 total points through 10 complete rotations on the opening day on the waters of the St. Mary's River.

Tulane was paced by skipper Hamilton Barclay with crews Abigail Borggaard and Brady Starck out of the B Division. The combination ended with 86 points on the day to sit ninth in the division. Over in the A Division, the Wave landed 15th at the end of the day with 122 total points. Racing for the Green Wave in the A Division were Thad Lettsome, Kelly Holthus, Gillian Perrell, and Matheo Capasso.

Racing will wrap up with the final rotations of the ACC Open Championship from the James P. Muldoon River Center beginning at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
