Golf Closes Out Day One at the Jim West Challenge

SAN MARCOS, TX – The Green Wave closed out day one of the Jim West Challenge on Sunday in 11th place.
Cleo Liu led the Wave with a 72 in the first round and 73 in the second to finish the day in tied for 35th. Julia Sánchez Morales ended tied for 45th along with Miriam Emmert. The freshman carded a 75 in round one and a 72 in round two, while Emmert scored two under par in the first round and a 77 in the second round. Finally, Matilde Innocenti and Ruhee Pandit rounded out the score card for the Wave tied for 57th after carding a 78, 72 and 75, 75.
The final round will continue tomorrow, beginning at 8:30 a.m. CST with a shot gun start. Find live stats and scoring for the entire tournament here.
